The Last class in first year

Atlast, we are done with the last class in first year. I liked this class and I am very much impressed with the way the class was dealt. The class about "spirituality and leadership". The examples were damn good. He gave an example on how Abdul kalam was treated when he attended the common wealth games. It was amazing to know that he was greeted by each and every one in the crowd and same was not the case of politicians who are in power. There was also an example of how APJ and Sarabhai influenced a priest to relocate the church and how the priest dealt with their own community people to influence them. I havent read much about APJ's personal life but it seems there is so much that we can adopt from his life. I dont think its possible for me to read at this point with just two days left for exams to start. :(

Today our class has come up with an initiative of ethnic day wherein everyone is suppose to come in ethnic wear. Almost 90% of the class has come up in ethnic dress and exclude me in that 90%. I am not carrying any traditional dresses with me and so there is no point in being a part of that 90%. Today is the only day in term 3, as far as I remember, where Anurag, Priyanka, Prathap and I were sitting according to our seating plan. Another interesting aspect is that our class had a photo with our QAM prof and its amazing because QAM prof is a a kind of person who looks for discipline in the class and when we approached him for a photo, he accepted with a smile.

Our exams are about to start from monday onwards and this time it would be a tough ask as I am not totally aware of the name of the topics in few subjects :(.

By the way, today is shilpa's(classmate) birthday and "many many happy returns of the day, shilpa"

Oh no ... Not again :((

The marketing project never seems to be working out as far as our group is concerned. Today we had a class at 6 pm and we were suppose to be there before 6 pm and upload our presentation before prof starts the class. Our group entered the class at 6.10 pm and by that time prof had already started the lecture. We dint say anything to prof about the upload of presentation and occupied our seats.

Prof started verifying each group's work and asked about our part. We told him that we had it in our pen drive and would like to upload at that point of time. Prof with any angry tone said "I will not review your presentation". At first, I felt relaxed as we dint prepare the ppt properly. But he then told us " Let all the groups present and then I will check yours". I felt very bad hearing that dialogue because on the other hand there was a big match going on - India vs Aus . I was not in a mood to hear anything nor sit back in the class. But, I had no other go rather than to sit and listen what prof says. Prof did not allow us to open our laptop also. But I couldnt control myself and used to open laptop on certain occasions with out giving any hint to prof. I know its a tough ask :).

After all the groups review was over, It was our turn to get screwed up. Prof was very angry with the way the other groups had presented and our group's ppt is no better than the others.

After seeing the format of the first slide, prof told " I am not going to review your presentation as it doesnt adhere to the standards I had mentioned earlier". This time I could not resist the smile that was coming out and some how, with all the difficulty on this earth, I maintained a serious note on my face.

Somehow, prof started reviewing our project and obviously started shouting at us for our incomplete and bad work. The worst part is that it happened before some other section students. Prof gave us a hint to resubmit the work again by saying this dialogue "If you do not meet me on sunday, you will relax and I will also relax" :((.

Does it mean do we need to sit and work again ?? :(((

Whatever it is, I am so happy that India reached semis. :))

The term is about to end in three days and then the battle for the marks will begin in a while.

I am regularly practicing TT and it makes me feel relaxed. The game which I started for some reason is turning out to be a "drug" with out which I cant live :))

Happy Birthday Isaac

Many more happy returns of the day Isaac .. Ofcourse Belated.. :)).

Isaac dint tell every one about his birthday and it was a kind of secret celebration. Anurag, Nikhil,vimal, Isaac and I were part of the celebration.

Its fun and I tried to play a song with guitar :)) and the song was "I dont know" :)). You can assume what ever song that comes into your mind.

I dont know Isaac's bday till the last minute and so no surprises. Lets see what happens next year. But, next year by this time, nobody would be available in the campus :(( and so the surprise .... :((

Sandesh to join Elite Club !!!!

It was Arina's and Srilu's, now its sandesh's turn. Finally some one from our gang to get into the elite club. Ofcourse, its just engagement but to be frank its unexpected. I was surprised to see the mail from him. I saw that mail at a very peak time when each minute was too precious to miss. So, I couldnt call him immediately and when I got time to call him, he dint pick the call :(.

I need to recall an incident when we both went to attend one of my colleague's marriage in April 2010. He doesnt know her but yet I forced him to attend the marriage with me. At times, I smile involuntarily when ever I remember that incident. I always make him think that with out him its impossible for me to attend a marriage and he gets convinced. This time also, I convinced him to join me for srilu's marriage. But this time its his luck as I was not able to attend her marriage else it could have been a double bonanza for him to attend two marriages where he doesnt know even a single person. Its so hard to sit in a marriage hall where we dont know even a single person, right ? But he does it with out any problem and so I ..................................

This summer @ Mumbai !!!!

Finally the place is decided. This summer, I will be in mumbai. I am talking about my summer intern. Priyanka is going to blore. I thought of doing my intern at blore and she thought of mumbai. But everything is reversed. Anyways we need to accept with what we have.

Today is the last day for term 3 with respect to all subjects, except one. We have 3 more classes left and thats it, the first will end. Ofcourse, we are still left with end term exams.

Almost all the seniors left. The campus is awaiting juniors. I should clean my room atleast by that time :).

There is so much to update and will do that in a while before the end term exams begin.

Guess how are all these related ???

I couldnt update my blog for the past few days and the reason is "I am busy".

Whats going on in hel'L'.. have a look at these snapshots and keep guessing..

By the way.. there is an another important update and it deserves a "title" rather than just as a content in one of the post.. Will update soon

TT mania !!!

I am getting addicted to TT. Its 3 am in the morning and I feel like playing TT again. I played tt from 1.30 to 2.30 am.:). Its such a great game. I like it very much. When ever I find time, I just call Isaac and ask him to play with me. I dont call Raghu because he is a champ and champs never like to play with kids :(. Thanks to vijay garu, ex colleague, who planted the seed of interest on tt.

Coming back to acads, there is nothing much I can update. I bunked all the classes yesterday and attended all the classes today. With great power comes responsibility and with responsibility comes hard work and with hard work comes sleepless nights and with sleepless night comes bunking of classes.

For the first, I sat in first bench in this term. Its such a worst feeling to sit in the first bench especially in the QAM class. Its even worse if you had bunked the previous class. Because prof asks questions to those who bunked in the previous class. Luckily, he dint ask any :) and more over he was in a good mood. Yesterday, during class discussion, one of the prof enquired about me as I was absent. I am happy that atleast one prof remembers my name. :))

Today we had a workshop on social responsibility. I dint listen because my way of defining social responsibility is different :) and more over sachin and sehwag were playing brilliantly in the match against SA.

By the way, this week we are going to submit a project in marketing and the project is about opening a south indian restaurant in IIML. Some one can give me inputs :).
