I wish I could wish someone that way

Recently I have come across this video on youtube. It was such a lovely video and I became emotional looking at it. Its really good. I have never seen such a video till this time.

Its about a little girl - lilly. Her parents gave her surprise. The best part of the video is her innocence and her excitement. When her parents told her the surprise she started crying. it was so emotional but very beautiful.

Here is the link to the video..

Till now, I have seen this video atleast for 20 times. I think I cant stop the count increasing. Such a beautiful expressions and such a cute little girl.

Also, she tries to dance even while crying and that shows how pure her love is towards her parents.

Coming to statistics about that video. This video has been uploaded on 10th october and till now it has more than 43 lakhs hits. This figure shows how good the video is. I think in recent past we might have never heard of such an awesome count. Also, the video has been viewed across the globe. The video has 10k comments. Almost every 2 in 3 comments talks about "how emotional they felt".

Even I felt emotional when I saw that video. I wish I could give such a beautiful surprise to someone.

Happy Birthday Keerthi

Happy Birthday Keerthi...

Keerthi was my colleague at HSBC and a good friend of mine.

Since I have given Chaitanya Varma a gift, its time for Keerthi to grab one from me.

I remember what she likes as I have seen her couple of times getting attracted to it.

Once again Happy birthday

Happy Birthday Chaitanya Varma

Finally I am wishing Chaitanya Varma on his birthday.

Many Many Many happy returns of the Day Chaitu.

Enjoy....

Its hard to hide...

Few days back there was an incident that happened in the college - which was totally unexpected.

The incident was based on my birthday. I dint tell any of my friends here about my birthday and one of my friends, sai, saw my blog on Oct 13th. He is a regular reader of my blog and I know he would see that. Also, I expected that he would read it completely, especially last few lines, and would not tell anyone.

But as soon as he saw my blog, he posted in a facebook group page, created by telugu people of IIM L, known as TMTAH. The group contains a list of friends with whom I am close. Ofcouse, those are the only people with whom I am close. This really bothered me a lot. I didn't tell anyone about my birthday and when I saw my name appearing in the group as if I did something wrong (My perception).
Immediately I called Sai to take out my name. But he was busy with some-other work and couldnt login. This ultimately led the secret revealed.

The next part was simple. I should start convincing them that I am not interested in celebrating. But, I felt convincing is secondary and primary could be how to face the comments that they are gonna throw at me. I remember how I behaved when I came to know that Raghu was hiding his birthday. I almost yelled at him. But it was then I realized I also fall under his category and so I stopped asking him why he wasnt interested in celebrating. It took sometime for me to adjust and show my face to others and become normal. Now everything is normal as no one has taken it seriously. Dont know how they understood that / left the total matter. Good for me.

By the way, thanks Teja for the wishes :).

Thats it...

Gone are the Days ......

Personal Trivia..................

Three years back.....

On October 11th night around 11.45 PM.. Anvesh, my sister and I were in railway station. I told Anvesh to leave as it was getting late. Actually the train was scheduled to leave around 11 PM and it was delayed by one and half hour.

Anvesh and I were busy talking and discussing about the passengers in and around there. It was almost 11.55 PM. Anvesh dint leave me to go anywhere and he was standing very close by the side of me. I got a call from someone at that time. I was on phone and at 11.59 PM Anvesh almost made cut the phone and wished "Happy Birthday Praveen" and told "Remember it was me who told you the first wish" and then let me to talk on Phone. By the way that call was from one of my Friend's.

Two years back.....

On October 11th at 11.55 PM... It was my best friend. She called me 5 mins earlier and was speaking some random things as if she is not aware of my Birthday. Aftersome time, she started asking me why do you think I called you and was asking what is so special about that day asif she doesnt know anything. She was trying to make fun and also make me feel that she doesnt remember anything about me. At 11.59 she wished me perfectly and it was great given the situation.

Last year....

On October 11th at 11.55 PM... No one has called me. (As far as I remember). It was then at 12.30 AM, my cousins called me and thus the my birthday started.

This year...

On October 11th at 11.55 PM... This time it is again Anvesh's turn. He called me early and dont know what to speak and it went on randomly. Anyways, it was him whom wished me at 12 A.M. I was happy for that.

Though my birthday never changed, the celebration style has changed. From celebrations to partial celebrations to Nil. For the past two birthdays, I have stopped celebrating. Ofcourse, there are couple of reasons for that.

Why am I writing all these? I have few good friends out here and know that they read my blog. All I Wanted to tell them is sorry. I just dont want to celebrate my birthday and thats it.

I have written some more lines and taken out as it may hurt some of my friends, though not intentional

Welcome home Anvesh and Happy Journey Lokesh

Finally, Anvesh is back. He came back last weekend. I am so happy to see him back but at the same time, Lokesh is going to US. Its like a tie.

Actually, I wanted to meet anvesh at Delhi. Also, I booked the return journey ticket. But finally he said "no" to my visit to Delhi.

Now Lokesh is going to US and it is going to be a long stay. He waited so long for this offer. I wish him all the best and happy journey.

Also, I have seen Sandesh buying a new car. Thats really a great news. He is the first guy in our batch to have a car.

Party Time !!!

This week I went out to city twice just for the sake of food. That doesnt mean that I am not being served food here. Its just that we are bored of eating the same food daily.

First, it was index party. This year again I am part of index team. Everything, except the fact that I am in second year, is same. I mean to say the work I did and the work I am doing hasn't changed much. Its the same photoshop work that I hate. At times, I feel that I am cursed and at times, its a differentiating factor. Anyways, I cant change anything at present.

Coming back to party, it was a good one. Though the food was not good, I enjoyed the time, that our team, spent there. It was fun. Ofcourse, it was first time I was interacting with the whole team given the fact that the team was formed long ago. I dont know the names of any of the first years. So, initially it took sometime to break the ice and as of now it is partially broken. :). One thing I understood was that they are very curious to know about the placements. All I could tell them is not to worry. But it is very difficult to control our nerves during placements, including me. But everyone knows that he/she is gonna place in some company but what is that "some" is a question mark.

Here are few pics..

The team 5Ps

Scream 5 ???

Juniors

Second time, it was sai, gopi and me who went to city. This time it was Dastarkhwan. After a gap of almost 6 months, I went to the city by bus. Nothing new and its the same old roads with lot of dust. Wherever the bus stops, I can see a kg of dust falling back in to the bus and slowly getting distributed onto the passengers. You would be lucky if you were sleeping with your mouth open. Before people get any kind of doubts, let me clarify one thing - I dint sleep during that journey.

Thanks to Gopi for paying the bill and thanks to Sai for paying the bill at sports shop for my wrist band. I bough a wrist band to play TT with out any interruption caused by excessive sweating (Assumed to be). But after purchasing the wrist band, I havent played TT.

Again, tomorrow we are going to City.

Tremors ???

Recently I have heard news that in USA there was an incident on Earth quake in New York. Then, I heard a similar news in reference to Delhi.

Yesterday, I saw a status message in FB on one of my friend's wall - "I felt the chairs were shaking. Was it an Earth Quake?" I was shocked looking at it. Then I started searching for the news in google and shockingly it was true.

What am I doing at that time? The answer is that I was sleeping, indeed it was a deep sleep. It happened around 5PM. After knowing about that, my brain started thinking something very extreme.

Though nothing happened in my college, later on I found out that so many people were dead near sikkim. That was very bad.

I believe that of all the natural calamities, earth quake is dangerous. Because for the rest of the calamities, atleast we can get some information prior but incase of Earth quake it will be known only after the damage is done.

Interestingly one of my friend has updated his FB status message as "Tremors in Lucknow. My friends, instead of running out of the building, were updating the same message on Facebook." I am wondering how powerful an FB is - more than that of an Earth quake.

Term 5.. The most leisure term....

If someone asks me whats the best thing that you always want to see in this term, my answer is "Time Table". Even If I see 10000 times, I still feel like seeing it again. I can feel like I am set free from all kind of rigor that we were going through, though its not correct. On Monday and Tuesday, I need not get up till 1PM. On friday and Saturday I have just one class. I cant ask anything better than this.

This term I have 3 marketing, 2 system and 1 HR related courses. Even the courses are not too hectic. But one problem is that, the courses I have taken are highly sought after courses and hence I can see the top 10% students of the college are in some classes. Now the problem would be to get good grades by getting marks better than them. That would be a dream. People might be thinking why am I crying for grades because its ultimately grades that get us to the destination. Dont ask me what destination I am looking for because I am no different from others.

I am so leisure that I have completed the Prison break (4 seasons in 2 weeks time). The first season was awesome and later on I felt bored. The twists and turns that were there in first season were repeated very frequently in the consecutive seasons and so I could guess the plot very easily. One more thing is that - digging a tunnel / passing through a tunnel. I never thought it would be so easy to do such a thing. Where ever the lead actors go, they dig a tunnel there as if it is patented to them. The last season was more like a typical sentimental movie - to choose one between wife and his brother. It is too far from reality. But I should accept that it was entertaining. Now, I understood why parents are so addicted to serials.

Mom, Dad and 8 holidays...

This post is about the holidays that we got at the end of Term 4.

I want to start this post with an example. A lion which was kept in a cage for 3 months and was made to work hard for 24 * 7. Imagine how it feels when it is released into jungle for a week. The happiness it gets cannot be expressed in words. Ofcourse, I am not lion but I dont mind you guys assuming it.

Although I dint do any productive work in holidays, I enjoyed to the maximum extent as there were no worries about grades nor project-work nor extra curriculars. Just eat and sleep. A continuous sleep for more than 6 hours is something rare and I achieved it consecutively for 8 days.

BTW I went to Tirumala on foot. I walked all the way (2400 steps). It was amazing. When I was walking on steps, I have seen couple of times "Praveen and Sravanthi". Its written on the walls which is a pathway to temple. Does it mean should I fix with Sravanthi? Where is she?

Jokes apart, I met my cousins and other relatives. It was more than a gala atmosphere.

One thing I couldn't escape was the committee work. Though I was on vacation, I was given some work with a strict deadline. Its my fate.

When I was going to Triupati, I met a guy in the train who has just come from US. It was very nice meeting him who is in a very good position at IBM. Interestingly, he too appeared for CAT and got some info about IIMs. He believes that people in IIM are inclined towards setting up new ventures. But I hardly see that here. He also gave me some insights about US politics and it was very interesting. I also understood that he is not that good at networking but a very hard worker. During the same journey, I met a old lady who has a very bad impression about software engineers. She feels that we dont enjoy life and work very hard. Partly it is correct but I dint feel like agreeing with the "hard working" part. We carry personal works during office hours and so it looks asif we are continuously working for 8 - 10 hours but it is not so.(Half the time we spend doing "some other" work. Its just my opinion !!!

Tiresome Journies

The exams were over on 2nd september and I booked my ticket for the train that leaves lucknow at 10.35 PM. I had an another connecting train that leaves jhansi at 5.30 PM. The time gap between the arrival and departure of first train and the second train was just an hour. Moreover my tickets were in waitlist till 2nd morning. I thought I would face hell before reaching home. It was more than that. The train left lucknow an hour late but reached Jhansi at 5 PM. I couldnot sleep properly that night. The total journey time was around 32 hours. I reached Hyd at 5 AM in the morning and was the only person left sleeping in the coach after the train had arrived at the final station.

One interesting thing that I felt during the journey was these dialogues - "Bloody.. what the hell? I need to sleep. Dont call me. Why are you like this?". It came out from a girl. Please dont think that it was me on the other side. The girl was on a phone call and I was eavesdropping on that conversation. Though it doesnt sound interesting to others but it is to me as it reminds me of my past :(.

Another interesting thing is that the conversation that I had with train attendants. It took hell out of me to explain the importance of IIMs. They have idea on IITs and not on IIMs. They talk about MBA colleges in Andhra Pradesh and say that they are great in India. I was caught in dilemma. It was an interesting conversation.

But they gave a good logic about marriages in India. He said that he had three daughters. He says that if his daughter studies till degree, he can find a match for his daughter equivalent to that of degree or greater than that. But if his daughter studies till post graduation and now the question is he needs to find someone equal to that of PG or more than that. The problem doesnt end there and continues with increased expectations in the form of dowry. Though its hard to digest but its true in case of lower middle class people in India.

Though the return journey was also bit a lengthy, I had the company of my friends. Around 10 other friends were there with me and we all were there in Mumbai airport for the whole night. It was such a tough time to be sitting on the chairs for the whole night.

BTW the day started with a krusher at KFC. Sai (both) had chicken popcorn at 6 AM in the morning. Well, I have no comments on that.

Happy Birthday Padma (Sept 1st)

Though belated, Happy birthday Padma...

On the friendship day....

First let me finish-off the wishing formalities.

I wish all my friends "Happy Friendship Day".

Special wishes to my best friend, anvesh, sandesh, lokesh, rajesh, ravi, murali, arina, srilu and stari. Also those whom I havenot mentioned here :). ( I dint include any of college friends as I could wish them directly. )

By the way this is my gift to you guys. Friendship coke... (Please watch this ad .. its really a gift from my side... You will love it.. I WISH WE ALL MEET ONCE AGAIN ON A FRIENDSHIP DAY NEAR COKE MACHINE)

How is it??

On a serious note, I dint enjoy this day apart from the end of day twist. If I dont wish my best friend on a friendship day, what is this day for?.

These days I am sleeping very late and morning after getting up I always think this way "If I bunk today, still how many classes am I left to bunk/attend?". Now time is 4.32 AM and no doubt I will feel the same way when I get up in the morning.

Once again Happy friendship day.

Signing off....

So, one of my friends is Pappu ? (Ads)

In one of the class, prof showed us an example on how cadbury used the theme "pappu pass hogaya!!". In that example, prof has shown the screen-shots of sms on mobile. A student enters the roll number and presses the "get result" button. He gets the results along with the message "pappu pass hogaya and time for treat - kuch meeta ho jaye cadbury".(This May not be the exact message). Till now it is good but the twist is that I saw the student's name which is exactly one of my friend's. The name on the screen was "LOKESH". I couldnt control my laugh when I saw lokesh's name on screen. So is he Pappu??. What you say Lokesh??

Apart from jokes, one of the most innovative ads I have ever seen is the ad by Volkswagen.
The concept is "test drive on a print ad". I was thrilled looking at this ad. Though few may not like it. Since I love technology/innovation, so is this ad.

The concept was awesome. Here the cost incurred on providing the test drive is saved. That must be a huge amount.

An hour ago, I have seen goldspot ad and this ad showed how the trend was then.

In my last posts there were comments on who created the ad and ofcourse the commentator herself has posted the answer and thanks to her.

updates part 3

Here is an incident that happened, when we attended for a project review.

The project was about VIP industries. We just prepared roughly. We went and sat before mam. Mam was busy with some other work and the fellow research students started asking us the questions. What was the project about and what information did we collect. We initially started by showing a pen drive and told him that everything was there. He asked us to explain the things with out using the pen drive. We told him what we collected and he stopped us in middle and directly asked us the recommendations. We again started explaining him our recommendations.
All of sudden he started questioning us this way "I have visited their plant in Nasik and it was very small. Do you think the strategy you are recommending works out?".
We were shocked and our group mate who was explaining till then became silent. We dont know what to say. Then somehow we were rescued as the company produces 13k units per day (explained by us). This time he remained silent. It was like a war.
Back to mam. She somehow collected the data in between, that we couldnot collect till then, and started asking us the questions on that part. We were totally unprepared for such a question. Actually in our group only 3 of us were prepared and rest 2 dint. When mam/fellow researcher was asking the questions, the unprepared guy was answering few questions (ofcourse not exactly the relevant answers). I couldnt control laughing there. Sometimes we need to prepare for the shocks that come from our own team mates.

In another guest lecture, we had a guest faculty talking about "hacking". I just love this subject. Hacking is something that tells the expertise of someone in the technology field. Prof was explaining us on how hacking happens and how we should take care of all these. Actually the night before the guest lecture, I dint sleep. I was feeling damn sleepy till when the class started and all of sudden I started listening to class with full interest.
The class was about wifi hacking and it is the most used network by us in our campus. Actually, the prof has given few website references which can help us hacking. From that day, I was afraid to use WIFI in public places. One thing that I dont understand is - "Is it that easy to hack ?"

Here is a blog worth reading and I totally disagree :) (It is one of my friend's)

Enjoy

It has no end !!!

I never stop myself designing something new on photoshop. This term is a perfect one to showcase my skills, especially in two subjects. One course is about strategy to be followed for advts and the other course is on VB.

We are suppose to create a print ad for a product. Our team has chosen SBI. The product is also a bit different one. Here is the ad...

If you guys can understand what the theme is about, I will be so happy :).

The later part is about developing a video for this same print ad. I am thinking about what type of concept should be adopted for the same. Any suggestions ??

In one of my previous posts, the "never ending" satires by Arina continues this way

Ok i can understand everyone replied to your wish on the blog, but Sreelu didn't reply ?? I wonder why ..!! I wonder even more since you gave her or else copy/paste a necklace on your blog..!! how nice and sweet..!!

I have the answer. Srilu felt a bit shy to reply here otherwise you know about her right ? She "gives back everything" with a very high interest rate.
By the way, it was not copy paste. It was search/copy/paste. Just a copy/paste doesnt work. We need to start with a search process. You forgot that one, which is the most important of all. Also, It is the most difficult job on internet. We have millions of page and to pick one among them is not an easy task. I hop you understand the "pain" involved in such a process.

The start of "testing" time...

Life is just going like that. Get up attend the classes come back to room get ready and go to computer center and start preparing / reading for the next day class and come back to room and sleep. I am not finding any leisure time to write the blog. Though I deliberately avoided writing the blog at some instances.

Last week I had exams. It could be the most difficult phase of my life at L. I had 3 exams on a single day. I was damn tired by the end of the day, especially when I was writing the third one. I could not think/remember the concepts and just scribbled something on the answer-sheet. Today I received the paper for the same subject and my marks was not at all good. I was hurt looking at the marks but cant help it. I definitely think this is kind of "test" in my life on how I can prioritize the things. I wish my best friend was with me who always says "you never prioritize the things properly". I could have asked her to prepare the list.

After the end of exams, I had two days break, a kind of breather. We went to city and saw this movie Zindagi na milega dobara. The movie is good but not great. Its just a feel good movie.
But these days I have realized why these movies are attracting the crowd. One of the reasons for sure - people living in modern world are definitely out of these human relations (minimized) and feel so happy (especially at the heart) seeing these kind of touchy scenes (friends relationship, mom and dad relationship, dad and son relationship) on screen. One more example of this type is a recent release in telugu film industry mr.perfect. Its also a movie which depicts about human relations. I too liked that movie.

Ofcourse one more point to remember is that too much of sentiment does not work out because people cannot associate themselves with such a situation :). Just these are my thoughts and thats it. May be some other will definitely have some other views and I dont want to contradict :).

In the coming 5 weeks we need to finish 7 projects. Thats just a cakewalk. :((((

Ooops.. I forgot...(to reply)

There were couple of comments for which I couldnt reply (as I was busy .. Needless to mention this point)

Oh Praveen!! Daily chaduvutanu ra nee blog. And my luck made me miss reading it on this day :)
Thanks a lot ra!! To get a post on your blog is a gift in itself :)
Saw your post only today dood. By the way it has been quite some time I have quite a lot of music for recco, ask me anytime :)

You are one of the reasons to start this blog and how come you can miss my blog.. He hehehe...
I almost stopped that designing stuff as I dont see any value addition here and there are bunch of people who are more proficient interms of content creation and innovation. At times I am trying my level best to create few but not so successful. Anyways, soon I may be shooting an ad for one of the subjects, may ask your expertise for background music.

stari said... (post - there enters the new batch)

So, wat were u doing with juniors till midnight??

I already mentioned in the post that I cant reveal and I still stand on that. The main reason is I am afraid to do so as it may result in some controversy and may even go far beyond that I cant imagine.

stari said...

Dude .. u know u r not innocent !!!

I dont want to prolong this conversation. Its a mistake that I have written that post and it was purely narrating an "imagination" that never happened. I dont want to write much about that. It just gives two impressions - either I am involved or not involved. Discussing about this topic can create worst possible scenarios and can affect my future life. Its not that I am involved in this. Its such a bullshit thing to discuss. So I better stop here. Sorry if I am harsh.

Oh thanks a lot praveen. This is the best possible wish. I just got what I want. Thanks for an expensive gift.
