70 % ?? No no no lets give him 65.. Hmm may be 75 ??

Well the topic is about the feed back given by us for "us". Isn't it confusing ??. Yup, its about the feed back process that we follow in one of the classes for evaluating the groups that give presentation. Normally the class is divided in to groups of five or four and in each week they come up with a presentation. Professor gives us the feedback forms to evaluate the groups.

I have analyzed the way the people give feedback for the groups. Its quite interesting too !!!

Atleast half the class( some times 80 to 90 percent of the class) never listens what a group is presenting and most of them are busy with their own works (either sleep or chat or read other subjects). It would be a great achievement if half the people class listens what you are saying. So guess how they give feedback ?? Just tick at good if you know him else give him/her avg rating and some times worst :(. Yup thats it.
This is how it works.

On few occasions, people listen and gets irritated after some time and strike off what they have assigned and give them less marks. It happened so many times.

One of the groups was giving a presentation and one member is known for his "extra" presentation skills. If he takes up the position on stage, he will never conclude what he is saying at any cost. One of my friends sitting by the side of me initially gave the group good marks and as time progressed with his extra lectures , she started giving less marks. I too did the same way. There was some marks for "total time allotment". Now why dont the group understand such a thing ? Now the question is .. who is wrong ? is it the group or the rest ?

One of my close friends was also a victim of this. I had huge expectations on his topic and he totally disappointed with his lengthy lecture. He also joined the group of "lengthy presentation". Now one thing is for sure, though the presentations are lengthy, the input we get from them are nil. Most of the time people just run through the slides as the number of slides are more and totally miss out the good points that are suppose to be explained. Some times it looks as if they are more desperate to see a "thank you" slide rather than us.

Now, I need to see how prof is gonna consider these feedback forms.

Thats it
